Anonymous data collection
You can visit our website www.visuship.euwithout disclosing your person. We do not store any personal data in this context. In order to improve our offer, we only evaluate statistical data that does not allow any conclusion to your person.

Collection and processing of personal data                   

Personal data will only be used if you give it to us, and only for the purpose for which you have released it. The survey is for the following purposes only:

  • to identify you as a customer
  • to fulfill our contractual obligations to you
  • for correspondence with you
  • for invoicing or, if necessary, within the reminder system


Your VisuShip Controller's IP address and device ID are used when connecting your VisuShip Controller to the internet as part of the operation of the VisuShip Controller and the VS Cloud Service (for example, when communicating with our update and time server or when remotely accessing). A conclusion on your person is not possible with this information.


In addition, VisuShip system data is exchanged with our update and time server. If necessary, we use these in addition to the purpose of statistical evaluations whereby these data do not allow us to draw conclusions about your person.


In a support case further personal data (for example name, address, e-mail address and telephone number), in particular technical data can be transmitted to us, but only if you expressly agree. These data are then transmitted encrypted and temporarily stored on Project 2020 servers in Germany. For the purposes of troubleshooting by us, technical data may be disclosed in an anonymous form to third parties (for example, external development partner or manufacturer of individual components). Conclusion on your person is not possible for this third party.


Examples of technical data are:

  • VisuShip - system data, such as user name, connected accessories, serial number, software versions of the individual components
  • Data from various states in your VisuShip system, such as temperatures, error messages, crashes
  • Type of device used (tablet, smartphone or PC)
  • Usage data of the VisuShip controller (software version)


Why are these technical data sent to us?


Only technical information that is relevant to the use of the VisuShip system will be sent to us. The knowledge of this exchanged technical data enables us to best support you through:

  • faster and more cost-effective support in case of faults / error messages
  • better product support
  • Transmission of software updates

Collection and processing of non-personal data                   


Technical data is stored locally on your VisuShip controller. The data do not allow any conclusion to the owner.

In the case of support, technical data can be transmitted to us, if you expressly permit this. These are then transmitted encrypted and temporarily stored on the Project 2020 servers in Germany.

For the purposes of troubleshooting by us, technical data may be disclosed in an anonymous form to third parties (for example, external development partner or manufacturer of individual components). Conclusion on your person is not possible for this third party.


The data can be: VisuShip system data (connected accessories, door-window contact, temperature sensors, serial number, wind + solar data, battery data), status data of the VisuShip controller (system time, error messages).


Why are these technical data sent to us?


Only technical information that is relevant to the use of the VisuShip system will be sent to us regularly. Your VisuShip controller communicates with our server to download the latest software version. The knowledge of this exchanged technical data enables us to support you in the best possible way.

  • Transmission of software updates

Use of personal data and earmarking


We, the Project 2020 UG (haftungsbeschränkt) use your personal data exclusively for purposes of registration, use of the VisuShip controller and the VS cloud service during customer management. Furthermore, all legal, technical and organizational measures are taken to ensure compliance with data protection.


In order to process any inquiries and to fulfill the legal documentation obligations, Project 2020 UG (haftungsbeschränkt) will keep the customer history for 10 years after the last interaction with customer support. Problem-specific, personal data will be automatically deleted up to 3 years after the problem has been solved.

Integration of additional products from other manufacturers


You have the option to additionally connect products (cameras, USB stick, chargers, etc.) from other manufacturers with the VisShip Controller. For the data protection of these devices only the manufacturers are responsible.

Project 2020 UG (haftungsbeschränkt) uses cookies and active components (such as JavaScript) to track visitors' preferences and make the web pages optimally organized.

Right of Withdrawal


You may at any time revoke your consent to the collection, processing and use of your personal information for the future. But please note that in the case of cancellation the future use of different functions or services of the VisuShip system and the VS cloud service may no longer be possible.


The deletion of your personal data takes place as soon as you revoke a consent to the storage, the knowledge of the personal data is no longer necessary to fulfill the purpose for which the data was stored, the storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons or if you terminate the contract with us.


Data required for billing and accounting purposes or subject to the statutory retention obligation are not affected by this.

Right to object                   


You can object to the future processing of your data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR at any time.
